There was a time when humans made computers and ensured that they constantly kept evolving it; after all, it was just a machine. However, times have now changed. Human is no longer the smart ones, and how could they be when a computer is used to hire them? Doesn't feel nice right? Imagine a computer deciding if you are capable enough for anything or not!! However weird it sounds, it is the reality of modern-day HR.
We thought that AI was only helpful for big analytical and number related stuff. However, this isn't true anymore. Computers have been making decisions for us for quite some time now, and computer-based hiring is just a step ahead! From taking online standardised tests to appearing for computer-based behavioural interviews; the world has come a long way. As if beating people in Poker wasn't enough, AI has crept its way in here too.
The future of HR is both digital and human as HR leaders focus on optimizing the combination of human and automated work. This is driving a new priority for HR: one which requires leaders and teams to develop fluency in artificial intelligence while they re-imagine HR to be more personal, human and intuitive. Companies no longer work the conventional way, and to bring anything such as AI into it, is a big leap forward.
Know about.
Computers now assess not only the behavioural patterns or analytical abilities but also aid the HR (still human *funny*) to understand the decision making abilities of the people. Imagine how to judge the decision-making ability for another human, a computer is aiding the decision making human. Irony! However, these aren't the only trends which have dirupted the entire indsutry.
While the benefits are huge, I still feel that there is a long way for machines to replace huamns since they can't be empathetic and decsive of charcater.
